Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a family with a strong musical background. She was raised listening to traditional, old boleros as well as traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana is a fan of Tangos. Also, she loves operas, and every form of drama. Ana began learning to play and sing in the early years together with her mom. She received more formal singing instruction when she reached the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. When she was a student, as well when she was a professional young in Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups and choruses. When she moved in the United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present residence in southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. She is passionate about the performing arts, music, and the arts keeps her engaged in local projects in both her capacity as an artist and instructor. Ana was also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as and the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is a fan of traditional Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire others to sing the same.
